From SP3: “The Power of 3”
(Music: M. Gambino, R. Rivera, J. D’Aqui / Lyrics: M.Gambino)
*** A hopeful song for Martin Shkreli, and all others like him in the world.
Shkreli is the convicted hedge fund manager who was considered to be “THE most hated man in America” after he bought the rights to life-saving medication and raised its price from $13.50 to $750.00 per pill.
Basically a murderer, this white collar felon was sentenced to only 7 years behind bars in 2018.
Hopefully he (and people of similar allegiance to the almighty dollar over basic human decency) can find it in themselves to contemplate how horrible they are on their own…. Before they render their immense forms of harm on anyone else.
Because, too often, having that much money means having power over the people around you who could tell you so themselves (but don’t).

A quiet moment Of introspection Turned out to be Your point of Self reflection
You always thought The world revolved around you And now you realize That’s just not true
Was this the way You chose to be living? No concept of what’s real
Were you taking Much more than you were giving? Beg, borrow and then steal
When you looked in the mirror You looked right past your eyes The lack of soul that you found there Should have really come as no surprise
Now the truth hits you just like a Punch between your eyes Can you see what others see? Cuts you (right down to size)!
A quiet moment Of realization Turned out to be Your point of Re-creation
And something happened You could never expect You started questioning Your self respect
Was this the way You chose to be living? No concept of what’s real
Were you taking Much more than you were giving? Beg, borrow and then steal
When you looked in the mirror You looked right past your eyes The lack of soul you found there Should have really come as no surprise
Then the truth hits you just like a Punch between your eyes Now you see what others see Cuts you (right down to size)!
You thought you played everybody else like a fool But now you realize — The fool is you!
<Guitar Solo>
Oh… Oh… Oh… What took? What took? What took you so long to realize?
When you looked in the mirror You looked right past your eyes The lack of soul that you found there Should have really come as no surprise
Then the truth hit you just like a Punch between your eyes Can you see what others see? Cuts you (right down to size)!
Cuts you (right down to size)...
Cuts you (right down to size)...
Cuts you (right down to size)...
Is it too late to change?
